About this deal

No need to buy a whole new foundation, use our Foundation Mixing Pigments to colour correct and customise your foundation for a perfect, second skin finish. Apply a small amount of your foundation on your cheek and compare to your complexion, if you find it needs to be more yellow, take a small amount of the yellow mixing pigment and your foundation and mix to create your perfect second skin finish. Next, take your stippling brush (which I am using here) a Beauty Blender or your preferred method of blending and gently begin to blend the color into the skin. Work from the middle of the skin out toward the hairline to keep the majority of the product in the middle of the face. This will also help keep you from forming a foundation ring around your hairline. This formula does not contain mineral oil, sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, and fragrance. Dermablend Professional Cover Creme Foundation (Shade: 30W Yellow Beige)

So my understanding is that a decidedly warm shade by makeup perspective will have a yellow undertone but it could be golden yellow ( more common) or lemon yellow which is golden yellow +blue = green and thus olive. White – lightens your foundation, perfect for adjusting your summer color to match your winter tone. So what do you use to correct your foundation and bring in an olive undertone? How do you classify your olive --- warm, cool, or neutral or?So I believe I'm more of a neutral olive but I can get away with warm undertone foundations as long as they don't have an orange cast. So I got the MUFE chromatic mixer in blue and used it with my 210 Sandy Beige Maybelline Dewy & Smooth foundation. If your foundation is looking too yellow, mix the blue mixing pigment with your foundation to lighten and colour correct to a cool undertone. Avoid liquid pigments and food coloring. Some people may be tempted to try liquid pigments and food coloring to adjust the tone of the foundation. This is not recommended because these substances are not meant to be applied to the face.

But then we saw beauty influencer Rose Siard giving a firsthand demonstration, and suddenly it seemed downright useful for any beauty lover with neutral or cool undertones. "Why do I have blue foundation? Let me show you why I have blue foundation," she teases, before clarifying that the blue-hued "mixing pigments" can help to neutralize a too-warm foundation shade. What is blue foundation? Always test in natural light and on a small area of your face first to ensure that your mix is right with your yellow undertones.Do the same thing with the second foundation as well. I know this seems like a lot of foundation but I want full coverage. You don’t have to use this much, you can use as much or as little as you want for your desired amount of coverage. Now this explains that what the makeup industry sees as cool or warm is completely inaccurate from a colour theory perspective because each colour can be warm or cool or neutral i.e. lemon yellow vs. Golden yellow or pink (cooler) vs. Red (warmer)

To show you how to mix your foundations, I am going to be mixing the ones I use on a regular basis. I am going to be using the Revlon Colorstay in #360 Golden Carmel; this has a matte finish and can look to flat. Right now this is slightly darker than what I need so to lighten it up and make it not appear so matte so I am going to mix it with Lancome Teint Idole #320 Bisque. This foundation is not as matte finish as the Revlon Colorstay so mixing the two will give me a sort of satiny finish, not to flat, not to shiny finish. If you’re still confused, this quiz from PopSugar can help you to accurately determine your skin undertone. Remember, just because your skin might not seem yellow at first glance doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t have yellow undertones. Analyzing the hues on the inside of your arm and considering what colors look good on you can be helpful in determining the true undertones of your skin. What is Yellow Undertone? The best way to make your foundation more yellow toned is to use a concealer.
