About this deal

A decir verdad, desde que Eloise llegó a Gloucestershire y Sir Phillip la recibió con la sorpresa de que tenía dos hijos y, al menos al principio, de que solo se quería casar con ella para que tuvieran una madre… creo que me perdieron. Her perfect husband wouldn’t be so moody and ill-mannered, and while Phillip was certainly handsome, he was a large brute of a man, rough and rugged, and totally unlike the London gentlemen vying for her hand. I loved it while I was reading it, but when I finished and think about it, there's nothing amazing or that I remember loving or swooning over? The ground was moist, and Marina must have been wearing heavy boots, because her prints had sunk into the earth with clear definition. No scientist would admit to it, of course, but most great invention occurred while one was attempting to solve some other problem entirely.

To Sir Phillip, With Love - Julia Quinn | Author of

Lately she’d been starting to think that maybe those crotchety old matrons were right, and she wasn’t going to find herself a husband. One day she offers condolences to a distant cousin’s husband, a Sir Phillip Crane, whose depressed wife, Marina, has just passed.

For those of you who have read the other Bridgerton novels you’ll get back that family familiarity as the other members of the clan (the brothers primarily –and they are hilarious!

Bridgerton: To Sir Phillip, With Love (Bridgertons Book 5

Cuando dije por Instagram que estaba leyendo este quinto libro de la saga Bridgerton, muchos me escribieron diciéndome que era su favorito y, para ser completamente sincera, es el que menos me ha gustado de toda la serie. She enjoyed writing notes, especially to people she hadn’t seen in years (she’d always liked to imagine their surprise when they opened her envelope) and so she pulled out her pen and paper for most any occasion–births, deaths, any sort of achievement that deserved congratulations or condolences. The book follows Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth Bridgerton child and second daughter, as she looks for love. I know and understand that the belief and behaviour of Sir Phillip to his first wife was a reflection of the time period but it was very triggering to read about Sir Phillip's blasé attitude towards his first wife and even go so far as to say that she was a burden to him and was relieved that she's gone. Esos capítulos del libro los disfruté muchísimo por los malentendidos, las bromas y el espíritu competitivo que había entre todos ellos.

He supposed she was aware that there was a lake on the grounds, but in truth, he’d never known her to go there, not in the eight years they’d been married. He RAGES at her that since their marriage doesn't have the problems of his first (his wife was depressed and suicidal), she has no right to complain, because this is heaven.
