Named after Alice's 1970s drinking club that included the likes of John Lennon, Keith Moon and Mickey Dolenz, legendary performances ensued around the world. The name has its origins in a drinking club created by Alice Cooper in the 70s; it became the perfect name as Cooper, joined by Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and numerous guests issued a titular album in 2015 to commemorate friends that passed under the influence of drink and/or drugs. The third track is another from the debut album, I Got A Line On You, which doesn’t sound out of place following a classic like My Generation. The studio excellence transfers well to their live set, it is something to behold on a live recording from 2015 at the Rock In Rio festival, imaginatively titled Live In Rio. Not only does the group have a high-level musician quality to it, but watching the show, you can see that the members are having fun being there. A John Lennon tune, Cold Turkey, is up next, and you can almost feel the band grow in confidence as the set gets under way. I love Brian Johnson but the version of "Whole Lotta Love" he did on the first Vampires album was terrible; the Alice/Lzzy version works much better.In 2015, American super-group Hollywood Vampires played probably their biggest and one of their most legendary concerts in front of over 100,000 fans. Her interaction with Cooper during the song brings the show to another level that was already rising above a normal show. Cooper slips into Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd towards the back end of the song and the seamless transition from the rest of the band is again impressive.The Vampires make it cool to be a rock star again; only Keith Richards is missing to complete the ultimate level of awesomeness (but Depp‘s pirate look from his Jack Sparrow / Richards influence gives the vibes that the latter could be there in spirit). Opening with Raise The Dead, the second song on their debut album that was released only weeks before this show, and an ominous voiceover introducing the devilish delights of the Hollywood Vampires, Coopers distinctive voice rings through the murkiness and the band launch into action. The LP is limited and numbered to 10,000 copies worldwide, making it a highly sought-after collector's item. Cold Turkey" is a song that I have never liked and the boys even manage to make that one pretty good. They are joined on stage by Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver) and Bruce Witkin (Grammy-nominated producer).

Unlike their 2015 debut record, the second album consists mainly of original material, written by the band.NET reserves the right to "hide" comments that may be considered offensive, illegal or inappropriate and to "ban" users that violate the site's Terms Of Service. Jimi Hendrix‘s song Manic Depression is up next and should prove the first real test when it comes to authenticity. The 16-track album “Rise” is one of the purest, most unapologetic and enjoyable rock and roll albums of recent times, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form. Rock in Rio is not only one of the most famous festivals, but also the origin of the Hollywood Vampires' first live album. The second album had more originals and only three covers but was released after this recording and so, unfortunately, doesn’t feature here.
