About this deal

Also formulated with 10 different probiotics to strengthen the skin barrier, and an exclusive "5 purple energy" blend of superfruits such as blueberry and plum to nourish and calm the skin. Clinically proven to improve the appearance of tired skin after just 10 hours of use. Clearly, if you’re interested in this type of product, I would recommend the ma:nyo Bifida Complex Ampoule serum, which I found much more effective!

A sugar beet-derivedamino acid derivative with nice skin protection and moisturization properties. Betaine's special thing is being an osmolyte, a molecule that helps to control cell-water balance. It is also a natural osmoprotectant, meaning that it attracts water away from the protein surface and thusprotects them from denaturation and increases their thermodynamic stability. But it’s Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule [Gold] that really shines here. It has two ingredients that makes it a more effective option for your skin. If you have spottedethylhexylglycerinon the ingredient list, most probably you will see there also the current IT-preservative, phenoxyethanol. They are good friends becauseethylhexylglycerincan boost the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol (and other preservatives) and as an added bonus it feels nice on the skin too.

Infused with 77.2% Extreme Biome

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mist is a hydrating essence mist designed for those with dry and/or rough skin. It is said to provide an instant moisture boost while soothing the skin, and also providing wrinkle repairing and whitening benefits. One of the key ingredients in this mist is fermented yeast extract (Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate). Derived from fission yeast, which has a similar structure to the that of human cells and similar components to NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), this fermented extract helps to hydrate, balance, and firm the look of skin. Fermented yeast extract also improves the absorption of other ingredients into the skin. Another key ingredient in the Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mist is niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 that plays a vital role in cellular metabolism. This means that niacinamide provides skin cells with the energy needed to perform important processes, such as DNA repair and cell turnover. Niacinamide also has the ability to repair the skin barrier and improve skin moisture, as well as reduce inflammation, blotchiness, hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkling. Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mist also contains several ingredients that will hydrate and soothe the skin, such as licorice root extract, betaine, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, raffinose, lactic acid, and more. Previously known as the “Borabit Long Name” Ampoule (Borabit means “purple bottle” in Korean, and “long name” because its complete name used to be “Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator”), the brand reformulated the serum a few months ago. The name is still fairly long, but the formula has changed quite a bit since the beginning. A multi-functional helper ingredient that acts as a humectant and emollient. It's also a solvent and can boost the effectiveness of preservatives.

Often compared to the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, this serum has developed a cult following due to its ability to repair and hydrate the skin. It’s a real oldie: expressed directly from the seeds, the oil is used not for hundreds but thousands of years. According to The National Sunflower Association, there is evidencethat both the plant and its oil were used by American Indians in the area of Arizona and New Mexico about 3000 BC. Do the math: it's more than 5000 years – definitely an oldie. At first, the formula was very close to the ANR serum, and now it distancesitselffrom it even if you can still find ingredients and claims that are quite similar (= anti-aging and soothing). The price has also increased a bit with the reformulations, but Missha is still much more affordable than the Estée Lauder ANR.

First, let’s discuss what probiotics can or can’t do. Mostly, they help balance out the skin’s microbiome, i.e. the sum of all microorganisms that happily live on your skin’s surface. Probiotics support the “good” bacteria, those little guys who help combat bad bacteria such as, say, acnes P. (responsible for acne), and they support the skin barrier in staying strong and supple. Are probiotics anti aging superstars? Eh, maybe that’s taking the marketing around them just a tad too far – they have the potential to keep your skin healthier and thus also smoother and firmer overall, but I personally don’t expect my wrinkles to magically disappear when using probiotic skincare. Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule [Gold] contains retinol, so it’s strictly a night-time product. Apply it in the PM, straight after cleansing. Start with a couple of nights a week and increase frequency to every other day slowly. The oil-soluble extract coming from the edible, orange part of the carrot. It is created bymacerating the carrot root in a carrier oil such as sunflower or olive oil, and the resulting thing (base oil + carrot root extract) is often called carrot oil or carrot root oil. (Not to be confused with carrot seed oil, that can be fixed or essential and comes from the seeds.) A cheaper dupe for Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Serum, a little goes a long way for this powerful ampoule!”

An emollient and natural moisturizer that can be found also in the sebum (oily stuff our skin produces). It leaves a nice non-greasy, non-heavy feeling on the skin. Retinol is so far down in the list of ingredients. There are far better options if retinol is the ingredient you’re looking for. With all the options out there, both of these are inferior products. The optimal ingredients are in minimal concentrations in both formulas. I’m not sure why even post them, dupes or not, TWICE?Before I tell you about them, here’s the caveat: Missha also has way more ingredients. That means that if your skin is sensitive and reactive, the Missha serum is more likely to irritate your skin. Makes sense. Your skin’s barrier is your first layer of protection from harsh weather, irritating skincare products, toxic pollutants, and anything else that’s trying to harm it. The stronger your barrier is, the less likely something is to breach it and irritate you.
