This is a fine, fresh aquatic fragrance very much in the mould of the Nautica Voyage and Versace Man Eau fraiche etc.The heart consists of geranium, clary sage and apple, laid on the dense woody base of cashmere, patchouli and moss. At first, I couldn't pinpoint it but later was able to by looking at the notes which has similarities with BBW Whitewater Rush.

Classic Blue is slightly sweet in the top and heart where the pineapple and apple feature most prominently. It’s not going to turn heads or change lives or anything, but it’s a departure from the safety that Beckham is known for.Easily the best fragrance under the Beckham brand, this is gorgeous, wonderful opening, grapefruit, lemon and what I thought was pineapple. opens up like azzaro chrome legend minus the strong metallic tone, then goes towards joop jump plus playboy newyork drydown. I have a few DB scents - Homme David Beckham (DBH), Beyond Forever (DBBF) and Pure Instinct - the latter is a sweeter take than the two beforementioned, but I like them all. The composition is bolder than the original, starting with fresh accords of pineapple, grapefruit and violet leaf. Edit (2/4-17): I really enjoy the deospray but as I mentioned before I'd like it more with aquatic and/or bergamott notes. It's a fresh out of the shower style scent that has notes you'd associate to a dark blue style fragrance, there's some sweetness to this without it coming off as unisex.At the start of my journey into fragrances discovery I obviously fell in the trap of David Beckham's perfumes.
