Crystal Nucleus loot bundle drops 1 Fine Gemstone of each type when completed. It can also drop additional Flawed, Fine and Flawless Gemstones of any kind. Treasure Chests that are found using a Metal Detector in the ⏣ Mines of Divan have a different loot table. The chance for a Gemstone to appear in one of the chests is shown below. Gemstones can be mined in ⏣ Crystal Hollows from their ores, except for Opal Gemstone, which can only be found in the ⏣ Smoldering Tomb. Their ores generate in differently sized veins, in set locations within the Crystal Hollows and within random structures. Veins regenerate after five minutes, except when destroyed using Bob-omb.The only way to instantly mine Gemstones is with any tool that can break them and Armadillo Pet's Tunneller ability.

Gemstones are the only Collection items which have 5 tiers ( Rough, Flawed, Fine, Flawless and Perfect). The colourful gems catch the light to create interesting features for windows or doors - great for starting a conversation about colours or developing descriptive language skills. Added Gemstone slots to ⚚ Shadow Assassin Armor, ⚚ Adaptive Armor, ⚚ Adaptive Blade and ⚚ Bonzo's Staff. Gemcorns cannot be placed in a space occupied by water. If water is placed after the Gemcorn is planted, it will not grow.
