About this deal

It's mostly base notes with a brush of caramel. Not airy. Synthetic evocation of a sweet cave on a exotic planet, in a 60s sci-fi movie. Synthetic ambergris from a sea dragon, cotton candy alien flowers, and some musky creature that hopefully will be friendly but no guarantee. I think the value of this fragrance is that it serves as olfactive proof that paying more does not necessarily mean you get more (in terms of quality). I have zero desire to pay the price that BR540 commands. BR540 comes from the talented nose of Francis Kurkdjian- who has an incredible line up of previous projects. I have the greatest respect for the learning and R&D it took to get to BR540. Now this was tested in the winter...but I did notice when I had the heaters on, in the car it did give a very pleasant more stronger aroma more sweeter musky smell and it did last a bit longer on skin, so maybe it performs better in the more warmer climates. Maybe I can layer this with something...something more masculine...windup in unisex land...but what in the world would go well with this saccharine-hairspray-nailpolish frag? My perfume journey is to smell and own a wide variety of interesting, unique fragrances. Lataffa provides a perfectly reasonable solution to satiate the hunger or urge to have BR540 in your collection. The sniff test definitely shows its hand regarding the bergamot, oakmoss, and musk. The initial sniff is as though Burberry released a sweeter version of Burberry Women. As it settles on the skin it deserves at least a nod of recognition at the blend between pear, caramel, and kumquat. Its sweet, its sensual, and the scent is not here to stay. A perfect "one night stand" fragrance (and I'm not talkin about furniture).

Ok were to we start, presentation of bottle is nice distribution of the spray is good and sprays out quite a bit.Don't get me wrong...I LOVE stupid-sweet fragrances...hell, my signature frag is "PHANTOM". But the difference is that Phantom has character and depth.

That evening I took off my shirt and put it in the basket, next morning the whole basket smell like softer version of BR540. So, I decided to give it a chance. The dry down 6-10 hours later, which is when the Ambroxan haze has burned off, is sweet and pleasant. It hangs on fabric for a day or two. For both men and women. I do like it and for 60ml it is worth the buy. A good alternative. Read full review Longevity: personally lasts only 3-4 hours for me and when close to the skin it does give it's undertone notes.

EDIT: Yep, I'm a "Cloud" guy...that one smells like "PC Gamer Magazine with a dunkin donuts combo chilling at home during summer vacation" HEAVEN to me... This frag is just chemical-sweet.....and that's it. Nothing...a hint of fruit and a cloud of saccharine sugary nail polish overload. It even gives me that hairspray-huffing-high if I smell it after it's first sprayed. I'm 10 all over again... I wish I'd gotten the fragrance everyone else is talking about, with the smoky musky spun sugar and fruit vibes. Instead I got something that smells sharply of alcohol at first spray and then promptly transmutes into NOTHING. I sprayed this on skin, on fabric, on my husband. Nothing! I wanted this for an affordable BR540-style fragrance and instead I got a bottle of liquid disappointment. I guess I'll wait and see if resting it helps. Very frustrating experience though. Being a thrifty Scot, I wanted to sample the ambience of this acclaimed fragrance, which allegedly clones the even more acclaimed BR540, before buying the original.

I bought this because it's so cheap. Even the full bottle is cheaper than 10ml decant bottle of BR540. The first time I wore it, I got nothing! It just disappeared into my skin and I couldn't smell anything at all. I thought I might get the conterfeit of cheap perfume lol. TBH, I don't love BR540 so I'm not gonna spend my money on full bottle of it but everytime I wear BR540, I always get compliment. So having a cheaper substitute would be nice.

Well, I’m glad I did before forking out for the real thing. Yes, I got the medical/dental opening, much discussed with regard to the original and, indeed, to this clone. And then, …… well nothing really. Nothing emerged from the surgery door. I had the strange feeling of wearing no fragrance at all all day. Where were all these seductive notes much described everywhere? Maybe my nose is just on wrong? But I am grateful to Lattafa for sparing me making a costlier mistake.

I've never smelled BR540, but I've smelled a few of the dupe perfumes and they all have the same base DNA. Ana Abiyedh Rouge smells like Cloud, more so than Guess Red Seduction or Burberry Her, which have more of a fruity cherry/strawberry opening and then venture into the BR540 DNA. AAR has the sweet burnt sugar, cotton candy, whipped cream and slightly lactonic vibe in the opening. Then it ventures into the base that people describe in so many different ways. For me it smells like one of those stores in the mall like Hollister or Abercrombie where it smells like they regularly drown the store in men's cologne. It also gives off a newspaper vibe, and in all honesty something about the base reminds me of wet diapers as well. I have no idea how I can still enjoy the DNA of these perfumes, but I'm guessing it's because the sweet aspect keeps me addicted. I love super sweet gourmands, and I love a sweet perfume with a slight masculine touch. Persistă cel mai mult și sunt constituite din esențele de ulei care nu se evaporăsau nu sunt volatile. My limbic system responds with a pensive emotional state. Rouge is neither relaxing nor offensive. It's a little bit sensual and a little bit off-putting. When I make a point of noticing it, it's usually strong, then a few moments later, hiding.
