About this deal

Some games translate better than others to the Infinity Game Table’s design, but we found it actually made certain board games far more enjoyable to play. Battleship has never been a big hit in our house, but when it’s augmented with explosive sound effects, animated on-screen graphics emphasizing every hit, and the table literally rumbling with a vibrating motor inside when a torpedo hits its target, it instantly became one of my son’s favorite games to play. A co-op board game, Gloomhaven sees players assuming the roles of wandering adventures brought together in a dark quest filled to the brim with vicious monsters and none-too-nice folk out for blood. Using their unique skills and abilities, players explore mysterious locations and encounter various enemies on the hunt for precious loot. Each dungeon offers a variety of different challenges, with players needing to be careful with which cards to play and what decisions to make - or otherwise risk having to retreat from exhaustion. As players gain more experience and equipment, they’ll be able to grow their character and improve their abilities over time. The roleplaying elements of Gloomhaven - which see the world evolve over time, similar to a legacy board game - are perhaps its most unique parts and help to shape the board game into a more epic and memorable experience. Counterbalance tilt technology provides a smooth and controlled user experience when changing device orientation, and the anti-collision detection sensor automatically stops the height-adjustable Flex when it meets resistance.

The Infinity Game Table is kind of like a huge tablet with legs – the surface measures 32 x 22 in (81.3 x 55.9 cm) and it stands 19.5 in (49.5 cm) tall. Those legs can also be removed if you want to just sit it on an existing table. Imagine it, you’re alone in your house at night. It’s all dark and some tree branches are scraping against the window or a hedgehog is snuffling about in your bins outside. There might be a tap dripping somewhere, but you’re too spooked to get up and investigate. It’s scary stuff. Why not make it even scarier by playing Mysterium? A co-op board game about interacting with a ghost, Mysterium is sure to intensify any already spooky situation into an even creepier - but decidedly fun - one. There's a jigsaw puzzle app, too, which wasn't as good as I hoped... and yet it's also meditative and addictive. Scott Stein/CNET It's become a little in-home vacation Camera Here you’ll find expert opinions on the latest cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony and plenty more. Additionally, I felt that the power button was too close to the volume controls. As all of the buttons and ports are on one side of the table, they’re not easily visible. You’ll often be feeling for the controls, which is why it would have been nice to have more space between them. Still, this was a minor quibble, as the volume shouldn’t need to be frequently adjusted. A look at the side of the Infinity Game Table. Image by Paul Benson. Maybe you’re not interested in the depth of Magic: The Gathering, learning how to play the Pokemon TCG or getting started with Keyforge. Perhaps your card game of choice is something old-school, but in a new modern form. In that case, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links might be exactly what you’re after.

Games like Operation just play entirely differently on the Infinity Game Table. Instead of painstakingly reaching for a small piece of plastic using a pair of physical tweezers, players instead guide a set of virtual tweezers through a long maze without hitting the sides. It’s still challenging, and you actually feel the patient’s vibrating heartbeat speed up every time you make a mistake, which is fun, but it doesn’t really feel like the classic version of the game. Time For a Coffee Table Upgrade? Wonders has been a staple of the tabletop community for over a decade now. Despite not being the simplest beginner board game out there due to its multiple paths to victory and scoring methods, 7 Wonders’ tight card-drafting gameplay has carved itself a sizeable place in the hearts of many players. The epic theme of 7 Wonders doesn’t just come across in its presentation and theming, but also in the choices players can make and the ways in which they can dominate the card game.OK, so what about Trivial Pursuit? A softball for the Infinity Table, there’s never likely to be much in the way of surprises when it comes to trivia gameplay. While it would have been nice to have had an option to adjust the game to better reflect the region in which I was playing it (the sole version on offer is very US-centric and I'm based in Australia) the trivia experience is generally what you’d expect, even if navigating your way around the board is pretty uninspiring. The Infinity Game Table is, somewhat annoyingly, not a table you’d necessarily feel comfortable using as one. What is this, a table for ants?! Safety Cables have been designed to disconnect if the interactive tables are accidentally moved whilst plugged in to prevent damage.
