ok i actually hated this dude in the beginning. he was mean to my girl and i was having none of it. he kept getting her hopes up but then becomes his asshole self again which then hurts Kim A LOT especially since she's already vulnerable. it was annoying and i was like It was so hard to say goodbye to them even I know there are more books, in this series, in which they will be as side characters. How JP Xan gets💅. Well, of course, I'm going to comment on this💁🏻‍♀️. When Ronan (OM) starts flirting and trying to date Kim, he gets soooo JP! LOL even when he's drunk and upset, he can't stop imagining that Ronan's going to take Kim's virginity lol 🤷🏻‍♀️I LUUUUURVED IT (Ronan does all of this on purpose💅👀 lol). What can I say? I looove OMD 😈

Teal was such a breath of fresh air in this book and I kept readind for the scenes she, Ronan, Cole and Kim appeared. The first book of that duet was good. This book reminded me of that duet when there was a mention of Elsa LOSING her memories (could memories be a euphemism for brain cells? Hmm, I wonder.) after being in an accident. I remember something similar happened to the h in All The Lies. I don’t know what’s the author’s fixation with making her heroines suffer from amnesia (when they already suffer from STUPIDITY) suffering two terminal diseases must be hard. Elsa might not have my respect but she has my (reluctant) sympathy. A-Aiden, what are you doing?” “For the last time, it’s King.” His face is completely blank except for the slight smirk. “You said you’ll report me for sexual harassment.” Nevertheless, Aiden's character development was great in this book. Although he is mostly a psycho still, at least he had a loving and insecure side to him and I liked that we got to read his POV more often (although everything on his mind was Elsa, Elsa and Elsa). I also felt that 7 year old Elsa and 8 year old Aiden went through alot at such a young age, that plotline definitely added points into the rating

Deviant King challenges readers with its exploration of unconventional relationships and non-traditional romance tropes. Rina Kent’s masterful storytelling keeps readers on the edge of their seats, questioning the limits of attraction and the complexities of human nature. this was a decent read and the writing was still good but the drama was a bit OTT for me and kind of all over the place and everything was kind of resolved pretty fast, especially when it came to the drama between Ethan (h's dad) and Jonathan (H's dad). I really enjoyed book one, but the book two and three writing felt like it was done by a different author. It was SO repetitive with the characters' inner thoughts and motivations. Literally, the same thoughts, emotions, and plot directives regurgitated themselves over and over again here. It just felt very...directionless, messy, and childish, sadly. Aiden literally threatens to assault Elsa because she calls him 'Aiden' and not 'King.' This is so extra I can't.

She's known to write unapologetic anti-heroes and villains because she often fell in love with men no one roots for. Her books are sprinkled with a touch of darkness, a pinch of angst, and an unhealthy dose of intensity.Have I ever joked with you, Frozen?” I struggle against him, my heartbeat increases with every second that I can’t budge away. “Aiden! Stop it.” “Wrong name.” what😍🔪 This story is an excellent read- moments felt like therapy. I wish we’d gotten to live into the recovery of our characters a bit more, seen the non-linear process that healing takes- but that is perhaps a whole other story. And, to be honest, I’m not 100% sure about the twist (this book does have several MAJOR twists) still- even though they were necessary for both the conflict and conflict resolution- but the resolution of them felt easy, but maybe that is just the juxtaposition we need to see just how NOT easy Kimberly and Xanders journeys are- both in facing their own demons and in figuring out how two people, trapped within themselves, can be soulmates. That was the story that compelled me, that left me crying, exposed, and raw multiple times. And that is why you should read this book. Rina Kent in an English author who’s constantly parading between France and North Africa due to her studies and her husband’s demanding job. have to admit, sometimes, i wasn't really convinced with the romance and the progression was a bit too fast for my liking considering their history but i get it. it's all part of the H's evil plan or whatever.

No srsly why was it so sad to read this? Like it had no actual flavour. The drama was forced. The plot? Nonexistent. pls someone tell me what was the purpose of this book??? I just read it and I couldn’t tell you what it was about if you put a gun to my head 🤡🤡 He cups my jaw with false tenderness. “That’s the difference between you and me, sweetheart. You’d leave me in a heartbeat if I cheat, but I’ll never leave you even if you cheat.” Ya... This book wasn't for me😅, for many reasons. It felt like a bit of a washed down version of Aiden's trilogy mixed with Broken Knight by LJ Shen and a couple other books I can't think of right now. Then the big revelation came, which was pretty obvious, and I just liked this book less. I've read multiple books/series where the revelation is a plot device or the main plot (still scarred from The Mortal Instruments series tbh), and I am currently watching a show where it was used as a plot device, so I am even more annoyed that that was the big reason he hated her and caused her to suffer for so many years, which is still inexcusable in my book. Deviant King introduces us to the world of Royal Elite School, where the villain takes center stage as the king. The protagonist, who initially had a simple plan to finish school and pursue her dreams, finds herself caught in a web of chaos after provoking Aiden King, the reigning monarch of the school. As her life spirals out of control, she realizes the perilous consequences of being hated by Aiden, but also discovers the lethal danger of being wanted by him. This dark high school bully romance promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, questioning the boundaries of love and attraction. Our Review On her first day at Royal Elite School Elsa meets Kim, a girl who is sneaking around the edge of the crowd of students and she figures that Kim is a girl like her, who just wants to keep her head down and get through high school so she can get into a good college. They become immediate friends. Then she sees Aiden on the field with his friends. She meets his eyes and can’t look away. He then comes up to her and tells her that he will destroy her.Elsa finds herself surrounded by new and different characters in this book, which was a great surprise. I liked that a lot about the book as well as the fact that the rest of the horsemen, Kim and the Elsa’s rival Silver are returned. The relationship between Aiden and Elsa is scorchingly hot and steamy. Their passion is beautiful, all consuming, and violent at times. It’s like they can’t control themselves and can’t get enough of one another. turns out it’s actually quite hard to get into high school based books when you’re older than the characters. no I'm kidding, but, honestly, this book was quite immature and typical high school students trying too hard to be something to stand out while acting stupid. all of the characters needed a grown up wake up call: Aidan, the male character was trying too hard to be a dark character and it obviously didn’t feel as natural as it should have. I mean he starts to bully the main girl, Elsa out of no where and starts to touch her right away, it's like there was no buildup of romance, angst, or even hate. at times, I was even confused about what I was reading like the plot sounded promising, but it could have been delivered way better. Things change on the first day of their senior year when he starts bullying her face to face. He wants her and she is putty in his hands. There are also a lot of secrets at play. Elsa is being raised by her aunt and uncle since her parents died when she was young. She doesn’t remember anything before she woke up in the hospital and doesn’t want to remember. I freaking loved this book but I do have minor complains about it. This could have been a 5 star read but unfortunately I found some things that I didn't really like.

A moment later, he strides in our direction. He smiles at me so wide, I’m tempted to cut his face open. The only reason I don’t is because Elsa would hate me even more. there was A LOT going on here. there's like drama after drama that at times, it feels like it was thrown in which resulted in the drama to be OTP sometimes. this is especially apparent when it came to the family drama and the reason why Xander stopped talking to Kim.Beyond what we already know well, we see a new relationship in this book that really made me emotional: Kir and Kim. I don't have any siblings, but after seeing these two I want to have one, because it's the purest relationship I ever read. I was enchanted with their love, the safe heaven they give each other. I smiled without even realizing it when Kim talked about her brother, it was so natural, and I felt the same as I reread it (yes, I'm obsessed with this book and maybe have highlighted it all, just maybe.) Xander and Kim are my favorite couple in the Elite series and also the most heartbreaking one. Their love was so beautiful as kids, and I hated that it was ruined by such a huge miscommunication and misunderstanding but honestly who can blame Xander for thinking or believing something so massive? This series is just okay. Although this book was better than the last two books, however, it was still problematic and not entertaining. They bring out the bad and the good in each other. And as you read further, you just know Aiden needs Elsa in his life and vice versa. I love them!
