Instead of lifting up, it brings down. if a person had just had a spinal cord injury, I definitely would not want to show them this movie . I fully understood the abject frustration that he felt, when, after falling in love with this person, he was not able to express himself physically to her, as so many of us who have had this kind of love, are privileged to do.....it is easy for us to judge him, and think that he is in-appreciative for what she offers him and feels for him, but again, as they say: " walk a mile in my shoes"...... In my opinion this movie should have had a more positive ending. there many people who have spinal cord injuries and those who become injured and the result of such injury is paralysis. I think it would have been a much better movie if it had ended with the man who was injured accepting the love from the young lady.
