There’s not a lot that comes out of the box. You’ve got the charging cable, you’ve got the mouse itself, and you’ve got this little receiver which you can use if your device doesn’t happen to have Bluetooth and when you’re unboxing the mouse, don’t forget to take the little receiver that’s just hidden on the top flap. If you have Bluetooth built-in to your laptop already, then you don’t need to plug in this extra receiver. Now, since this is a mouse designed for travel, it would have been nice if Logitech had included a case or a sleeve with it but they don’t. This is an older version of MX Anywhere 2S mouse. The design is pretty sleek, it has this matte finish which is really nice in the hand. It’s very comfortable, I don’t know how well that will hold up over time, it does seem like it will get scuffed easily but I haven’t really noticed that yet in my use and travels. How happy you are with this mouse really depends on how big your hands are and what you’re already used to in terms of mice. So, you’re already using a larger mouse and you’re used to having your hand arch like that in a comfortable position, then MX Anywhere 2 mouse is not going to do a really good job. It’s probably going to make you uncomfortable after a while of use. For shorter travel trips, so if you’re just using this when you’re traveling for a business trip or if you don’t travel too frequently, then it’s going to be probably just enough but for a daily driver for people with large hands who are used to a large mouse, then it’s not going to be ideal. A bit on the pricier side, but a solid mouse that handles your day to day work excellently. The additional features improves productivity greatly, a good mouse to bring for working in any situations. This mouse is pretty easy to set up and configure. You just turn it on, connect via Bluetooth and it allows three different settings, so you can pair this with three different devices at once. The laser points are built into the mouse and are also designed to be very precise and work on all sorts of surfaces including glass. This is a pretty small mouse depending on what you’re coming up from. It’s 3.4 millimeters tall, it’s 61.6 millimeters long, and it’s about 100 millimeters wide. Now that Anywhere 2 mouse is pretty light, it only weighs 100 grams.

I never had any wireless connection issues using the MX Anywhere with a Bluetooth connection alongside my best wireless keyboard and the occasional use of my best gaming headset with a 2.4 GHz dongle connection. There are two ways to tell how much battery life you have left. The first is in the software, there’s a little indicator in the bottom. So, when you open up the Logitech software, you can get an idea of how much battery life is left. This indicator light on the top will flash green when it’s charged, it will flash yellow when it’s running low, it will start flashing red when it’s really low, and when it’s just pretty much dead it will be a solid red. But out-of-the box, holding down one of the MX Anywhere 3’s side buttons while moving the scroll wheel gives you a horizontal scroll. Even though this mouse is smaller than I’d prefer for long-term use, activating horizontal scroll was more comfortable than expected. The MX Anywhere 3 is a boon for those using multiple computers or tablets. A button on the mouse’s underside, which ensures you won’t ever hit it accidentally, lets you easily toggle between 3 Bluetooth connected devices. That includes Windows systems, as well as Linux ChromeOS, iPadOS and macOS. This worked without issue for me across 3 Windows PCs. Maybe, you’ll hear a lot of complaints that this mouse doesn’t really hold up over time. It starts to have mechanical issues, software issues, connection issues, and so on. Now, another interesting feature that I know you’ll all love is the Logitech flow which allows you to effortlessly navigate across up to three computers and copy and paste images and files between them. The mouse uses the darkfield laser sensor which costs it to flawlessly work on different surfaces, even transparent glass. The DPI is set up to a maximum of 4000 which means greater precision and sensitivity during normal use. Just like with the MX Master 3, the scroll wheel on the MX Anywhere 3 is the star of the show, if not for its flexibility in feel and speed but also in the premium heft and shine it brings to the product. Logitech claims up to 70 days battery life on a single charge. I haven’t had my test unit that long, but after 18 hours and 40 minutes of use, the battery meter in Options software still had three bars. Trying to contribute for those having problems removing the skid pads without destroying them: using a heat blower on a 50 Celsius (very low) and preheating it for 30 seconds makes them easier to remove, using an x-acto knife with care.
