About this deal

We have included a blank template with questions and things to reflect on, as well as multiple choice. The resource and vocabulary are quite challenging so the working with some of Year 1 children in a focus group is recommended. Really enjoyed how the stories Lila found to be the saddest stories she knew but when she was honest and told of how she was suffering under the sun, then the rain came… Good to partner with a few other rain related books! Its about bravery, courage and hope, narrated beautifully through expressive illustrations by Jude Daly. I think reading this book will support discussion of cultural similarities and differences, as well as geographical impacts on a society.
