About this deal

I have vowed to use only the Sofabaton X1 for the next month so that I can give it a test. So far, I like it. Once I had the Activities set up correctly, no issues arose. Devices started, and inputs switched correctly. I know that some people hate the fact that you have to wake the remote with a button press, but for me, I find that scrolling the wheel is an intuitive motion, so it’s a non-starter for me. Sofabaton spares no effort to research and develop electrical remote control to compatible with various of devices. Hi all, I wanted to share my experience with the SofaBaton X1. I am a long-time Harmony user, and have had a Harmony Elite for years. I decided to give the X1 a try and had a pretty negative experience. Another limitation I disliked is that the SofaBaton X1 has very limited support of IP-controlled devices. My Sony television is IP-controlled and can do IR if needed. The X1 will not control that TV via IP, and the documentation shows IP support for just a few devices.

The app device add/repair button is synchronized to the remote control, and the remote control will display one more button; The screen is a non-touch, 2″ color OLED. What does this mean for you? A clear and bright screen that won’t consume a ton of battery power, so you should be able to go a long time between charges. There are no options for brightness (yet), so it’s a one-size-fits-all solution. I do hope that Sofabaton will eventually give us options for this so we can dial it into our preference. We have added MD5define field to make the upgrade under iOS version to be stable(Now can not support Android Online);

Sofabaton X1 Programmable Universal Remote Review

So it’s been a whole month since I posted my review, and I have been using the Sofabaton X1 exclusively as my daily remote. So while I still don’t feel as if I am an expert with the remote, I can give you all a good sense of if it’s worth your cash. And if you don’t want to read the rest of the update, I will give you the skinny. I think Sofabaton will make this a great remote, and I recommend that you get one if you are willing to work with the shortcomings now for a great remote later. OK? Let’s discuss. Updates If the HUB is not connected to the network or the network fails to be configured or the HUB is disconnected from the network, the indicator light of the HUB will be in green ,but the normal way is in blue. You are advised to display the indicator light of the HUB in related scenarios;

To treat people with sincerity, handle things with faith and justice, respect the facts, and do what we say in society, customers and employees. Preserve Passion The IR issues occurred with every IR device (e.g., Integra receiver, Sony TV). It is a deal-breaker and I returned the SofaBaton.

Please keep your Phone in normal WiFi status while upgrading.Or it will go to error without poor WiFi,thank you for your understanding.

Sofabaton X1 Review - One Year Update | AV Gadgets

Nice review, Andrew! I’m pretty sure you and I are in agreement about pretty much everything with this remote. Lots of potential, quite nice to use once you actually have it fully set up, but the setup process is not for anybody who is impatient! Not yet. scrolling a rollerball and pressing it, and a list of advanced controls for every device can be found So the million-dollar question. Do I recommend the Sofabaton X1 as a worthy successor to Harmony? As I said before, yes. It is not as polished as the Elite. But this is Sofabaton’s SECOND remote control. That’s right, folks. They are probably 90%+ of the functionality of the Harmony Elite after their second remote. I expect that there with be a Sofabaton X2 or X1 (ver 2) that will give you a touch screen or some other enhancements. Plus, I am certain that they will get all the bugs worked out. The Sofabaton X1 Hub and remote control come with a hub and a remote. The hub sends out command signals, and the remote sends commands to the hub. The remote has an extended LED screen that displays a home menu with the options Devices, Activities, and Set (up). The screen is not a touch screen, so you use a scroll ball to choose the activity you want. The deal-breaker with the X1 occurred after adding my first device (an Integra receiver using IR). The IR signal from both the SofaBaton hub and the IR blaster is just super, super weak. So weak, in fact, that I think I may have had a defective unit.Sofabaton is still very committed to the remote. One year later, we are up to Rev.13 on the Hub firmware, Rev.9 on the remote, and Ver 3.3.1 of the mobile app. That’s a lot of updates in one year. And their codebase is getting pretty expansive. I added some older gear to it, and it had the codes for it. The Sofabaton app allows you to share your codebase for learned commands. So effectively, the community is contributing to the whole codebase. I haven’t had to learn any commands yet, but if I do, I will share them with the community. I reported that my Sofabaton X1 could reach all of my devices without the IR blasters, which is mostly the case. However, if I open my curtains while cleaning and try to turn on my LG B9 with the hub, it struggles to turn it on. I assume it is something to do with the glare from the sun on my glossy speakers and TV. So this tells me that you might have the same issues if you have the Sofabaton in a bright room.This could be true of other remotes as well. I didn’t notice it with my Harmony, however. The distance between the hub and the device is about 3m. The remote control controls the Roku device will not be sensitive;
