As you’re looking through the features of each camera, there are a few that you can’t really go without… Size and weight Very good picture quality for its size (640X480 VGA or 2 mega pixels). Videos look good even when shown on my video projector. Records at up to 30 fps so videos are not jerky. So far battery life seems okay but I haven't had it long enough to know if it begins to drop off with use.
Works well in the night. I know people have reviewed this camera saying that it's poor in the night. It's far from a great picture. But compared to other camera in this price range it still does a good job, even if the picture has softer edges etc, that's to be expected as the exposure goes up. I can still get license plates from the footage at night which is more than can be said for the expensive Drift HD camera! (which is poor at night despite night mode and with the wide lens makes plates hard to read unless really close up). This camera captures ultra-high-definition images and video footage. It also features EIS electronic image stabilisation for great quality images. My granddaughter lives abroad but came over this last Christmas when she was just short of three years old; I just clipped this onto the side of a cup and let it roll and because of its depth of field excellent videos of her from a few feet to the other side of the room were recorded beautifully. Spending time around the yard and your horse means your gear will take a bit of a beating. Selecting a hat camera that’s tough and will stand up to being exposed to the elements, horses, and dirt is a big consideration. WaterproofIt will not work as a web-cam on Windows 7 Starter. No work-around exists. It will not work. I did not buy it for that, but tested it, researched why it failed, and learned there is nothing to be done about it. For what it is worth, it seems to be a Microsoft problem.
