Split-Ender's unique patented hair plate is specially designed to guide the hair strands to flow in and out of the strand guards. The strands are then guided safely into the blades, forcing them to stand straight up when reaching the center of the Hair Plate. ONLY THE ENDS reach the blades, snipping the tips by 1/4 inch.

The verdict: We really LOVE this product, and if you’re someone who rarely cuts their hair or wants to trim your hair without losing length, we highly recommend this. It is a bit of an investment, but if you consider the fact that this device should last you for years, it means you can save yourself a lot of money in haircuts – although we do recommend getting a proper cut or trim every six months regardless. Even with a split end trimmer, I think patience pays off, and if you take your time, you can get some really amazing results. What it is: A hair trimming device designed to safely trim the ends of hair that are damaged and split while preserving the length of the hair. The unique design means that the hair is uniformly guided through the teeth so that only the ends or damaged hair is trimmed. The short answer is no, split end trimmers are not inherently bad for your hair. That said, you have to understand that the way you use one is going to determine how good of a result you get. Update- still no one responding. This company is useless and customer service is even more appalling. Not a single response from them.

The hair trimmer has to be brushed through your hair to cut the split ends, so it's essential your hair is knot-free before you start.This is an amazing hair tool!!! I stumbled on this quite by accident and I am so glad I did. As an ex hairdresser who has cut my own hair for years. Dredging through hair to manually snip off split ends takes hours and hours, particularly on waist length hair, and you can't get to the ones further up the head. A split end trimmer is perfect if you’re thinking of growing your hair longer, and you want to save money on salon visits while keeping your hair looking good in the meantime. If that’s you, then you’ll be happy with one! Split End Trimmer Before and After Some people actually consider this a feature, since it does give you a little more control on how aggressive you’re removing hair. IMO, though, the best split end trimmer is the one that does the job as fast as possible, as these are not styling tools per se.
