I thought it was ok but with editing they could have deleted half the book and crafted a tighter more interesting story. The main character’s medical condition is largely responsible for his lack of physical enhancements when he receives his device. I won’t reveal to you if he did make them or not due to spoiler concerns, but suffice it to say that he was a dynamic character, and I loved reading about him. Oh, also, in case people don't know: Stormweaver 3: Metal Gear Metal King will get started immediately after Stormweaver 2!This is part of what I meant earlier about how inconsistent the alien threat is, but it's inconsistent in what appears to be a rationale way. Initially Rei left to his own devices will train for so many hours a day it's actually detrimental, leaving him dead on his feet. Now for my one complaint about this post: I still see Wintersteel as the work in the progress entry in the top right. Even if that can't be applied to existing CADs certainly subsequent CADs should be able to build off of this to have much better growth. However, Meghan fiercely believes that the Iron Fey are responsible for the savage murder, but their presence isn’t believed by any of the fae.
