About this deal

One or more punches are almost indispensable if you are going to make your own invitations to a party. The punches allow you to make beautiful holes that fit a bow, or you can make pop-up hearts or small feet if these are better suited to the party you’re throwing. The Threaders Screw Punch Tool makes light work of piercing perfect holes into a variety of materials including, fabrics, leather, denim, felt, paper, card, foam and much more! What is a screw punch? It’s basically a hole punch. But unlike your regular office hole punch, you can punch holes anywhere on your paper, not just near an edge. Fast forward nearly 40 years and the Screw Punch still maintains the original design. Various interchangeable bits are now available, from 1mm to 5mm, which offer amazing flexibility and possibilities for using the punch. I have sold many over the last 6 years and am always delighted to discover how people plan to use theirs. Some use them for paper and bookbinding, others for felt and fabric. It is ideal for punching holes for eyelets and rivets when making bags or jeans. One artist uses it to create patterns and stitching holes in birch bark. The punch works well in fine leather too, and I was thrilled to see how Frances of the Maker’s Atelier has used it to create a brogue effect on her designs – what an amazing way to customize your clothing.

The small punches in the sets are perfect for little children’s hands as they are easy to operate. Use a punch to decorate in a pretty and even way It can also look incredibly cute to have small punched out jam jars as name tags on your homemade jam, or how about a collage of punched out trees and leaves in different colours?

If you’re not looking for punch, screw or lever punches, don't despair, we have many other types of punches in our webshop. Among other things, we have powerful hand punches that resemble a pair of pliers, and work in the same way. Our hand punches are available with several different motifs. Among other things, you can find hearts, flowers, and several sizes of circles. So you can make exactly the holes you need for your project. As soon as I cut my patterns, I punch holes in the markings. It’s part of my process. Here, I’ve punched a hole in the circle that indicates the shoulder seam on a sleeve. You may be wondering what you actually need punches for. We'll tell you this. Punches are great to have if you need to decorate something and it is important that what you do is identical and pretty. With a punch, you can be sure that your motifs will be correct every time. And you don't have wear out your fingers by cutting out all the small shapes with a pair of scissors. My own favourite use is to create dart points and markings when tracing or drafting paper patterns for clothes, but I am sure that there are 100 other uses for this beautiful little machine.

Nonaka lost the patent for the Screw Punch in 1992 and as a result, there are many cheap imitations on the market but the original Nonaka punch is streets ahead of the competition. This is not a cheap piece of kit but it is built to last. You won’t regret investing in a Screw Punch, this is a tool that will last you a lifetime – good design and quality manufacturing will always win through and my many hole punching customers will testify to that.Today I’m sharing one of my favorite tools when cutting and marking patterns: the humble screw punch. The tool features three tip sizes ideal for a range of projects, (2mm, 3mm and 4mm) that are cleverly stored away in the handle of the tool. If you don't quite know which motif to use, or maybe you need more than one, you can buy sets with different motifs in them. You can buy sets with only Christmas motifs, and you can find sets with only everyday motifs. And of course you can find larger set with motifs for both Christmas and everyday life.
