When it comes to toys, the number doesn't matter as long as they help your 1-year-old explore and learn. You do not need too many toys, as long as they engage your toddler's interests and allow them to work on building new skills, especially cognitive, physical, and verbal skills. A great story for teaching children about the different noises animals on the farm make. Nursery Rhymes (any collection aimed at toddlers)
