The sizes of the board are quite accurate but because the corners are curved and the board is slightly beveled, the jigsaw I bought along with it keeps slipping off the ends. The covering of the board does stop pieces from slipping but isn't a snug fit so it "puffs" in different areas. Not ideal for 1000 piece jigsaws even though the sizes stated on both products should have worked. Would be fine for anything smaller. I bought this item from Hobbycraft and when I began my puzzle on it I noted air bubbles under the felt which prevented the puzzle lying flat and which pushed apart connected pieces. Got it for my daughter who loves to do puzzles but finds it difficult on our lounge rug as it has a long pile. This fab board is now used for every puzzle she does! Wasn't sure she'd accept it as she is Autistic, but she loves it! No more frustration for her with trying to get the puzzle pieces to stay flat on our bumpy rug!
