About this deal

Embracing our obstinate addiction, we tested Diablo III’s performance on the Latitude E5430 to see how it compared to our previous tests and those performed just weeks prior on the E5530. While admirable, the results didn’t vary materially from our E5530 venture—just a couple of frames per second here and there, which is an insignificant difference that could be attributed to any variety of factors. In terms of hard numbers, this translated to an average of 28 frames per second on high and 36 frames per second on medium settings, both certainly palatable values for a business notebook.

Terms Apply. Promotion ends 3 December 2023. Items are subject to availability. Max 5 units per customer. You can get a model with a 4 core Intel Core i7-3520M or a 2 core Intel Celeron Processor B820. The Intel Core i7-3520M processor features a 4 MB cache memory, it has a base frequency of 1.70 GHz and a boost frequency of 2.90 GHz.There are plenty of old-school internal expansion slots, I/O connections, and a DVD drive on this laptop. If you still have a large archive of material on DVD, the DVD drive will be useful. Finally, in this review, I will give the Dell Latitude E5430 an eight for processor performance. Dell Latitude E5430 Memory (RAM) Performance Review Let’s talk about the Dell Latitude E5430 Laptop’s storage options. The laptop features a Mobility SSD, 7200 RPM SATA or Encrypted 7200 RPM SATA. As a result, the laptop comes with a variety of storage options. The same applies to the Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU, but perhaps to an even greater extent. This GPU has consistently proven itself to be faster than even the highest recorded scores of its HD 3000 counterpart in nearly every situation. This leaves little doubt that the notebook should be able handle most any low- to mid-range graphical task with no trouble.

Like its processor and storage, Dell Latitude E5430 offers multiple graphics options. Depending on your processor, you’ll get either the Integrated Intel HD Visuals 3000 or Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 for graphics. You can get a model of Dell Latitude E5430 that comes with 320 GB (encrypted or non-encrypted). Additionally, you can get one with a 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive. The lid of the laptop is supported by brushed metal, with a chrome Dell logo in the middle, for a subtle uniformity. It’s not only attractive, but it’s also quite protective – preventing all but the tiniest bit of distortion on the LCD panel even under moderate stress, as well as providing impressive scratch resistance. Accidental Damage-Additional Information: Accidental Damage Service excludes theft, loss, and damage due to fire, flood or other acts of nature, or intentional damage. Customer may be required to return damaged unit to Dell. Limit of 1 qualified incident per contract year. For more information, consumers visit Accidental Damage Service Contract (Consumer) or commercial customers visit Accidental Damage Service Contract (Commercial). While integrated solutions can’t compete in terms of performance with mid-range or better discrete graphics adapters, they are better in terms of power consumption and cost. Dell designed Latitude E5430 laptop for those who cannot live without VGA displays, ExpressCards, or optical discs. It’s a good laptop with one of the most ports we’ve seen on a non-desktop computer in a long time. Before I conclude this section, there is one feature I like to mention. Dell Latitude E5430 features Dell Fast Response Free Fall Sensor. The laptop I reviewed came with a 4 core Intel Core i7-3520M processor. I ran a Geekbench 5 test to determine the processor’s performance. The Latitude E5430 can be outfitted with either a 320 GB (encrypted or non-encrypted) or 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, or for a little higher cost, a 128 GB Solid State Drive (SSD). Our review unit came equipped with a Seagate Momentus Thin ST320LT007-9ZV142 7200 RPM 320 GB drive. Like the drive we received in our E5530 review model, this is a smaller, single-platter 7 mm-height hard drive that normally is meant for situations where drive size is a prohibitive design factor (such as in many ultraportables). The E5430 actually features a fully-sized 9.5 mm-height drive bay, so any traditional SATA laptop drive will also fit.

Having said that, Intel HD Graphics 4000 comes standard with every mid-to-high-end third-generation Intel Core CPU. It is one of the most talked-about features of the Dell Latitude E5430 and its Ivy Bridge processors. As I mentioned earlier, you can also get the Dell Latitude E5430 laptop with a two-core Intel Celeron Processor B820 processor. This processor features a 2 MB cache memory, 1.70 GHz base frequency, and 3.60 GHz boost frequency. With all of this in mind, I’ll give the graphics performance a six. Dell Latitude E5430 Battery Life & Performance Review The touchpad is located underneath the keyboard, and it is awkwardly situated to the left of the keyboard rather than in the middle. The touchpad, like the keyboard, has a matte appearance and is constructed of plastic. The Latitude E5430 carries the torch forward with another round of impressive graphical benchmark results for a machine restricted to an integrated GPU. Though these machines certainly aren’t built for gaming, our tests prove that the HD 4000 is no slouch should some low-end gaming still find itself on the agenda. In comparison, this result outperforms the HP Omen 15. The Intel Core i7-10750H processor in the HP Omen 15 scored 1272 points in my test. The 8GB RAM on the laptop I reviewed, on the other hand, was an outstanding multitasker. As a result, I was able to open different applications and easily switch between them without the laptop stuttering.
