I kid you not, I was LITERALLY waiting for that iconic moment when Cooper would refer to Adalyn as his wife in either a passionate romantic moment or in a protective alpha way. Either way I was vibing along and enjoying the story the more I read. I love marriages of convenience but this type of marriage was another kind I absolutely loved! When we meet Braxton, she has moved home after being away for over 8 years. She knew it was the right choice even if it meant living in the same town as her ex best friend/ ex crush.
