Dioralyte is indicated for the replacement of essential body water and salts in the treatment of acute diarrhoea in infants, children and adults. Early use is important to avoid dehydration, particularly in the young and elderly. People with kidney disease, heart disease, or high blood pressure should use caution when taking Dioralyte, as it contains electrolytes that can affect these conditions. Drink bland liquids that are easy on the digestive system, such as water, soda water and isotonic drinks. You should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte Relief for children aged 3 months to 1 year; and up to 2 years of age for Dioralyte.

Adults (including elderly) and children: One sachet after each loose motion (watery stool) up to a maximum of 5 sachets per day for 3-4 days. Dioralyte is the number one selling rehydration therapy*. It is clinically proven to provide fast and effective replacement of body salts and treats dehydration caused by acute diarrhoea. Do not use more or less than 200 ml of water. If you are breast feeding, continue to feed normally. Your baby may need less breast milk so you may need to express some of your milkAdults (including elderly): One or two sachets after every loose motion (each sachet dissolved in 200mls of water). Depending on the age and weight of your child, a reduced dose of Dioralyte or Dioralyte Relief should be given. This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist. The drink should be made up just before it is going to be taken. Throw away any remaining drink after 1 hour (or 24 hours if stored in a refrigerator).
