Each 64g bar has 20g of protein, which is pretty much the standard amount you’ll find in most protein bars. I’m somewhat of a chocoholic and whilst on a healthy eating plan, the Cadburys and Mars of the world are off limits, I do need to work in a treat or two, preferably of the cacao seed nature. The downside…we would have preferred them to be gluten and soya free, however, we’ve tried quite a few of these bars and not suffered any adverse effects at all, and so we highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality, great tasting protein bar. As part of the Men's Health Sports Nutrition Awards, we enlisted a 200-strong panel of fitness enthusiasts and experts to test a range of market-leading protein bars, helping us to find those that deliver on both nutrition and flavour. There are some customers who aren’t quite as happy with them and who are giving them 3 stars or less because they say the flavour didn’t live up to their expectations and a couple of them received damaged bars. These bars do contain gluten, and they are sweetened with maltitol which is a sugar-alcohol and almost identical to sucrose. They seem to be liking pretty much everything about them from the taste and the texture, to how satisfying they are, and some reviewers are even calling them addictive.
