About this deal

Given my currentsuccess you probably think I’m going to give the product 5 stars and recommend it to everyone and their mamas, but you’re wrong. The main reason is thatthe product value for me is just terrible. Yes, it works, but I can only use it at night, and I’m guessing when itgets warmer, I’ll either need to decrease it to 1 drop or stop using it completely. I really will be using the oil till kingdom come at that rate, and I’m pretty sure the product was not designed to last that long. Devi Ramaiya S, Bujang JS, Zakaria MH, King WS, Shaffiq Sahrir MA (2013). "Sugars, ascorbic acid, total phenolic content and total antioxidant activity in passion fruit (Passiflora) cultivars". J Sci Food Agric. 93 (5): 1198–1205. doi: 10.1002/jsfa.5876. PMID 23027609. Passiflora edulis, commonly known as passion fruit, is a vine species of passion flower native to southern Brazil. [1] It is cultivated commercially in tropical and subtropical areas for its sweet, seedy fruit. The fruit is a pepo, a type of berry, round to oval, either yellow or dark purple at maturity, with a soft to firm, juicy interior filled with numerous seeds. The fruit is both eaten and juiced, with the juice often added to other fruit juices to enhance aroma. GOOD FOR: People who are new to oil, and dry, normal, and oily skin, as it balances sebum production. Everyone is different! Comedogenicity is a good place to start, but it's not the gold standard. What works for one person may be pore clogging for another.

Maracujá oil is known as the “pure miracle” in Brazil, and there are several ways it can help benefit your hair, thanks to the high quantity of vitamins and nutrients present in this oil. Just some of the vitamins found in this miracle plant that can help your hair include:Sridhar, P. (8 November 2011). "HRS cultivating 'passion fruit' ". The Hindu. The Hindu, India . In addition to its topical use in skincare, maracuja oil can also be used as a massage oil to help ease the pain of arthritic joints and muscle pain. Blend olive oil with maracuja oil and simply massage it into your sore muscles and then perform some basic stretching on that muscle group for additional relief. As maracuja is anti-inflammatory, it can reduce that excess inflammation that causes sore muscles. Its rich linoleic acid content further helps in lowering inflammation for maximum relief. 6. ANXIETY RELIEFTo help relieve itchy patches of dry flaky skin, you could use Passiflora edulis seed oil with other oils that have a proven effect in treating dermatitis. For example, the journal Dermatitis reported that coconut oil is an effective emollient to treat dermatitis. The antibacterial effect of coconut oil also helps prevent secondary skin infections. One study found that Passiflora edulis oil is rich in antioxidants. These are free radical scavengers that help to prevent DNA damage in skin tissue. Studies have shown that topical antioxidants can help to protect the skin against photoaging. This is premature aging of the skin caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation. ( 4, 5) In addition to being an excellent sleep aid, maracuja oil is considered to be an excellent calming agent, allowing one to relax and unwind after an especially stressful day. Despite the fact that it’s incredibly effective for calming nerves, most people aren’t aware of it as the plant can’t be patented. And, as a result, pharmaceutical companies have no incentive to promote it – instead, they develop novel molecules that can be patented and earn profits for many years to come. But as drug regulations are different from the U.S. in many areas of Europe, maracuja oil is actually sold in drug stores as a nerve-calming aid. Providing you use just a tiny amount, meaning 2 to 3 drops at most, you can place it into a herbal tea or water and sip as a beverage for stress relief, relaxing with the calming power of one of nature’s great medicinal plants.

The second component to consider is comedogenicity, or the likelihood that a given oil will clog your pores. Though good to consider, comedogenicity is not a foolproof system for many reasons: Research has shown that Passiflora edulis seed oil contains two essential fatty acids that are good for your skin. The main benefits of passion fruit seed oil come from its two essential fatty acids: linoleic acid and linolenic acid. ( 1)

Imagine a skin care product that can take care of your skin, hair, scalp, and nail health. Maracuja oil (aka passion fruit oil) is a versatile face oil with magical benefits. Its ability to give you an exceptional glow while also acting as an all-in-one makes it the multitasking superstar of skincare. Maracuja oil is that good. Nervous System –There have been limited reports of nervous system impairment, such as dizziness, cognitive confusion, and muscle spasms. Furthermore, if you undergoing surgery of any kind, it is best to avoid this oil for 2-3 weeks, before and after, as it can interact poorly with anesthesia. Maracuja oil (passion fruit oil) is extracted from the seeds of the passion fruit and has been used for centuries in Brazil as a natural remedy for skin conditions. The oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, C, and E which makes it an excellent choice for a natural moisturizer or skin treatment. Schotsmans, W. C; Fischer, G. (2011). Jojoba oil is a great example of report cards not telling the whole story. Jojoba gets a comedogenicity rating of somewhere from 0 to a 2, and is balanced, rather than high in linoleic acid. While I wouldn't usually go for a 2 or a balanced oil, jojoba is my personal favorite. Research has found that beta-carotene is an essential element to protect the skin from the damaging effects of sunlight. One study found that applying topical treatments containing beta-carotene may have a protective effect on the skin against sun radiation. B-carotene helped to prevent free radicals causing damage to skin cells. ( 11)

Maracuja Oil Benefits and How to Use it

It wasn’t long ago that skincare experts and beauty enthusiasts alike campaigned against using products with the inclusion of oils in them. It felt like everywhere we turned, we were being advised to seek out oil-free moisturizers, oil-free SPF products, and essentially, oil-free everything. So if you’re confused or hesitant about using an oil specifically created for the skin on your face, we get it—it’s contrary to the beauty advice that’s been circulating for many years. Skin texture can be improved with regular use of maracuja oil. The fatty acids found in the oil penetrate deep into the skin to hydrate and nourish, resulting in softer, smoother skin. Brighter Skin Plant Mother uses the most medicinally active variety of Maracuja oil in their Vitamin C and Retinol Serums where this organic and unrefined oil is blended with the magical Kakadu Plum and over 20 nutritious botanicals They both have a comedogenic rating of 2, which means they are not likely to clog pores.
