About this deal

These mystery figures are sure to add a cute and cheerful charm to your décor no matter the time of year. You may be fortunate enough to find the special Paka Paka Dragon! Vinyl figures vary in rarity and size; maximum figure height is approximately 2.5-inches tall. Defender: Roll Pumpkin Die – First, the Defender Rolls a Pumpkin Die. If they get a Dodge, the arrow says which Player the play moves to. The new Player becomes the new Defender and rolls the Pumpkin Die. Otherwise, the Defender Draws the number of Cards indicated by the Pumpkin Die and moves on to the next step. With no Pumpkin Cards to Dodge or Counter, this Defender takes a Hit. There was a lot of time spent socializing with the huge cast of characters. I think we could have done with fewer quantity and more development of a few of them. Toby in particular was a very challenging character because he felt stereotypical and like he was there just to be a token demographic. Inclusion and representation are super important and I love to see it in modern media but I think it's also important to show these characters like real unique people (or vampires) and avoid caricatures. The origin time periods of the characters seemed very unimportant and I didn't feel like any of them were flavored by their time periods of origin at all. I understand that one, theoretically, would evolve their speech and mannerisms to blend in as the times change, but among friends and in safety I feel like some of those things might surface from time to time. Some researched slang, a political or social reference, etc. Like setup, the gameplay is not hard to master at all and is an easy game to teach by playing. Each turn has three basic phases: Game Turn Great story Celina! I rated it a 4 because I could sense Celina’s personality in the characters, but if it wasn’t her that wrote it I’d probably give it a 2 or 3 because of the grammatical errors, and because I would have liked an explanation about how Mia could’ve been so confused one minute, and so sure of what Elenora had done the next minute.

Paka Paka bridges the world of Boo Hollow and ours. Normally, this haunted little village only appears once a year, but now everyone will be able to bring home the delightful citizens who offer up good-natured mischief to keep the spirit of Halloween humming all year round. The new range ok Boo Hollow for Halloween 2021 include: Oddly enough, I imagine Boo Hollow as a self-contained world, cut off from the influences of other themes that aren't specifically dedicated to celebrating Halloween all year round. So that makes it hard to imagine them interacting with any other Paka Paka lines. But, that having been said, I guess I could certainly see Boo Hollow's resident witch, Nina, really enjoying the company of the Cloud Cats, being such a lover of the feline species herself. Of course, Scratch would love to get a chance to visit other Paka Paka worlds, if only for the opportunity to get a few new signatures on a few more contracts! Funko and their Funkoween have already started and things are about to get spooky. The first reveal is the Paka Paka Boo Hollow collection! If you're bringing one (or all!) of them home, then make sure you're a lover of Halloween all year round, because when it comes to the citizens of Boo Hollow, every season is autumn, and the spookiest holiday in the world is always right around the corner. Creep on Over! Symbolically, Boo represents both Scout’s childish understanding of the lives of people around her, and also the genuine risks and dangers that face children as they grow up in the world. As a ghost-like figure, Boo also symbolizes aspects of the town’s past, such as intolerance, inequality, and slavery. The town prefers to keep the less admirable aspects of its past out of sight, like Boo, but, like Boo, ghosts of the town’s past continue to inform the community’s present.

SparkNotes—the stress-free way to a better GPA

Anything else you want to add about this new wave of Boo Hollow residents? Anything special that we should know before bringing a new Boo Hollow friend home? If the Boo Hollow characters could hang out with any of the other Paka Paka creatures, which ones would they hang out with and why?

Nina practices her spells and potions. Dr. Oops always has a new experiment in the works. Raven runs the town library. Vlad works at the local blood bank, naturally. And Ori does the usual rounds from night to night, rattling chains and doing some light general haunting in the various houses around town. The more people you have, the crazier the Dodge cycle can become, which makes it extra fun for big groups. In most of these games, my kids tend to target me and then duke it out between the two of them for supreme winner and my second-grader pulled out a rare victory over his brother for our first game. The vampire lore was inconsistent and confusing. I have no problem with tweaking mythology in a world you create, that's part of the fun of world building, but I need more "why". Why quartz? Are there specific properties that make it the only thing that works? I'd really like to see some expansion on these ideas instead of just casually mentioning them. I'm not suggesting she take after Tolkein and spend 5 chapters musing about specifics, but give me a little bit more. Slow it down and show it me, don't just say it. I had just thought that there would be more of a mystery around the "whodunnit," so to speak. I thought the first presented possibility was a red herring because of how obvious it seemed, and assumed--due to the various abilities of the vampires--that someone else was manipulating the scene. It made the ending a bit weird and abrupt, as it initially seemed like there was so much more meat hidden there.Life is pretty simple in Boo Hollow. The residents may seem creepy, but they're all fun-loving, neighborly types. Most are just trying to occupy their time with their various jobs and hobbies, when they're not getting together for a picnic in the cemetery or getting ready for the monthly Ghost Parade down Scream Street. Throwers and Dodging: Throwers cannot defend against their own pumpkins. If a Dodge action would turn them into the Defender, they take a Hit Card and the turn ends. In this newest wave, we see a ton of new friends. We meet Tanis, our mummified resident fashionista. There's Itsy, our eight-limbed habitual hugger (she works in web-design). We can't forget Glorp, the living blob of acidic slime, who keeps the streets of Boo Hollow nice and clean because anything that gets in his oozing path ends up getting dissolved.
