Hearthkyn Salvager kill teams are masters at the art of recovering prized artifacts and locating precious resources in the depths of hulks and wrecks.

There are too few escape pods for every operative, so a brave few must do all they can to cover their comrades’ escape. We’ll take a look at the rules side of these later in the review, but there’s some really fun stuff in here such as a jump pack, a guy with knuckledusters and a warrior with a string of grenades.

MISSION RULES Vital Message: In the Set Up Operatives step , the Attacker secretly selects one of their operatives to be carrying an objective marker. For example, if players are using drop zones 2 and 4, their killzone edge would be to the top and bottom respectively. In Kill Team: Gallowfall, take command of the courageous and adventurous Hearthkyn Salvagers or the brutal and ruthless Fellgor Ravagers. I hope that this will be better in the next season, which follows in autumn after the narrative Ashes of Faith box. Loyalist and Traitor Princeps each get a pack of their own handy reference cards, containing seven Stratagems unique to their chosen allegiance, nine Legio-specific cards, and 10 general cards usable by any side.

plastic miniatures: Two full kill teams, including new Chaos Beastmen miniatures available for the first time in this box, each featuring a wide array of customisation and alternate assembly options. The Fellgor Mangler is another hyper aggressive fighter, the first time it strikes with a crit in melee it can immediately strike with another hit, and in addition to this when it completes a fight sequence if it is still engagement range it immediately fights again. Together with the new upgrade sprue, you can choose between very many different types of operatives. The main draw for this set will be the new Kill Teams, the Leagues of Votann Hearthkyn Salvagers and the Chaos Beastmen Fellgor Ravagers.Kill Team Fellgor Ravager Foam Tray - 2 inch (50 mm) thick tray with 9x 1 3/4 x 1 3/8 inch (44 x 34 mm), 6x 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 inch (34 x 34 mm), and 4x 2 4/5 x 1 3/8 inch (71 x 34 mm) cut outs. Oddly, out of all the terrain this season, I find the Gallowdark terrain is great to use as objective markers for Warhammer 40,000. Players assemble and paint their own Kill Team, choosing from a wide range of different factions and unit types, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Alongside that, there are vital extras for Adeptus Titanicus, some Blood Bowl Star Players, and a stack of new books from Black Library. Instead, the battle ends at the end of a Turning Point in which there are none of the Attacker’s operatives in the killzone or a player concedes.

The advanced Ironkin intelligence of the Kognitâar receives and processes tactical data at an astonishing rate, while Luggers employ less technological means to haul spare gear around the killzone. With two Kill Team boxes, you also have enough boards and terrain to play Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols games.

The narrative content is great, making missions fun and balanced with the new terrain and explosive action. The attackers intend to destroy these vital supplies, and make it impossible for the foe to continue operating here.
